This Day is the Day to Remember Our Savior

He Lives, For He is Risen!

The Living Christ
There is so much power in this lovely day, for beyond the time of Christmas which echoed far and wide the birth of our Savior, this day is much more vital. This day is the day that the bands of death were shattered and men were now able to partake and enjoy in God's greatest Gifts.

"For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39)

For the events that occurred on this day will forever ripple across eternity that man can and will overcome the death of the flesh and raise immortal to obtain the glories of the Father.

Jesus Christ was a man whose purity and love know no end.
"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins." (2 Nephi 25:26)
That is the aspiration that I have, to let all those who read this that there is an ineffable truth that Jesus is the Living Savior. We can follow in His example and become joint-heirs with Him in the Father's Kingdom. There is nothing that will ever change God's promises to His children, and He has promised that if we follow the example of Christ and keep the commandments of God we shall inherit the Kingdom.

There is no use trying to fight the fact that there is a God, for He has sent His Son, even Jesus Christ, to redeem all of God's children. Whether you feel that there is not enough evidence to say there is a God, let me ask you this,
"Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator." (Alma 30:44)

This world will spin round and round, and the righteous will be blessed and come to a knowledge of the Fulness of the Gospel that has been Restored. Those that try to fight against that are only robbing themselves of a gift that is beyond mortal comprehension. There is no man that can rob me of my Eternal glory, for that is something that God will give to those who have Faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, who are repentant, who follow Christ's example and are baptized, who receive the gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, and those that while treading down a righteous road endure to the end.

"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." (Helaman 5:12)

Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane
I know that my Redeemer lives. That Jesus has suffered for all of the sins of the children of God. That this infinite Atonement took place in the sacred Garden of Gethsemane outside the walls of Jerusalem, were our Savior bled for each and everyone of us. He suffered for our sins, for each of our wrong doings. He suffered for our sorrows. For all the grief and pain that not only affected our bodies, but also our hearts and minds. He was racked with a torment that was so excruciating that none other could ever have done it. He suffered the lives and deaths of each of us. There are none excluded from that suffering.

Christ did this for all of us, and we had chosen Him to be that one. The Lord, Jesus Christ, being the Only Begotten of the Father, then suffered even more for us as He was ridiculed, humiliated, had His life traded for that of a murderer's, was scourged 39 times by whip with multiple tails, fitted with sharps rocks and metals. Carried His own cross, for as long as He had strength. He had not rested since the sufferings in the Garden. He was lead through the streets for miles, until at the summit of Calvary's hill he was placed upon His cross to be raised above the crowds for more scorning and ridicule.

The Savior in the utmost agony as He suffered the pains of the Garden once again upon the cross. He did this as to fulfill His purpose and obey God's will, no matter the difficulty. His heart ever towards loving the fellow children of God. Knowing, that even though it was they that had raised His bruised and bleeding body to be slain for sins that were not His own, they could once again live with God. His hope for all men is so that we can be forgiven of our trespasses and live in the mansions that have been prepared for us in our Father's kingdom.
"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34)

He gave up the Spirit on His own accord for no man could truly take the life of Jesus. He did this so that He could die an ignominious death and stand as an exemplar that even the Son of the Living God was not accepted by man. Though He was perfect, and He was the greatest teacher, man can and will always be able to choose to follow Him for themselves.

Christ outside the Empty Tomb with Mary
The Atonement was not complete in these two places, for He was still just a man, a mighty man at that. He needed to receive the most important gifts of the Father, and that was to receive immortality and Eternal life. So three days later, in the Tomb of Joseph, the Savior did rise from His mortal death and He put on the mantle of immortality and returned to continue the work here on the Earth.

He is His own living testimony. He did not rise up from death just to return to live in Heavenly Father's mansion, He rose up to stand as a light to the world. He rose so that we can look to Him and become like unto Him. He rose so that we too can find our rightful spot in God's Kingdom. There is no other way to enter into our Father's kingdom than through Jesus Christ Himself.

The Son of God lives! He stands at the head of His restored church, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have witnesses of Him who lead this Church on. Stalwart in their callings as witnesses to the Savior Jesus Christ, and fiery in their devotion to His Gospel, to His truth, and to His everlasting Atonement.  I know that these things are true, and so can you. Through prayer and the subtle promptings of the Holy Ghost are these things made manifest. By no other source can you really find truth, it is only through the Spirit. To each that read this I extend a heartfelt invitation to
"seek ye the kingdom of God" (Luke 12:31)
and know that it is through Jesus alone that those blessings are possible to obtain.
